Black Diamond ATC Alpine Guide
The Black Diamond ATC Alpine Guide is a more compact, lighter version of the ATC Guide, and is designed for fast and light ascents in the mountains.
Weighing in at just 73 grams, the Black Diamond ATC Alpine Guide is a featherweight belay/abseil device that is designed for alpine use. It has been optimised for ropes between 8.1 and 8.5 millimetres in diameter but it also works with ropes from 6.9 to 9mm making it a pretty versatile device. The oval anchor-hole allows for easy feeding and pulling of the climbing rope, and the device’s guide mode lets you belay either one or two seconding climbers off an anchor. Multiple friction modes provide the optimal amount of stopping power when lowering or abseiling.
